Help Wanted!

Spoutwood is growing!

The 22nd year of our CSA program is approaching fast and we need a few hands!

• CSA Apprentices to work full-season with the Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of our CSA program. Some involvement with festivals and other activities will also be included.

• CSA Interns to assist with all aspects of CSA operations, without the level of responsibility expected of Apprentices, and need not sign up for the full season.

Please direct inquiries, resumes, and cover letters for the CSA to Angela at:

• Administrative Intern to assist in the administrative tasks and duties of the farm, while learning the ins and outs of administering a small, non-profit, family-owned farm.

• Farm Librarian to create a library with our large collection of educational books. They are located in various stacks in several rooms of several buildings, some of which also have sizable collections of dust and mold, so you must be able to handle some must!

Please direct inquiries, resumes, and cover letters for the farm needs to Rob at:

You should have an interest in the Spoutwood philosophy of living in harmony with nature and safeguarding environmental quality, making efficient use of non-renewable and on-farm resources, all while growing food to meet human needs in an economically viable way.

Drive, dedication, commitment, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humor are essential. You must also possess a willingness and ability to work well with others, including one’s fellow interns & apprentices, permanent Spoutwood staff, CSA shareholders, and the general public.

Help Make the Magic Happen at the 26th Annual Fairie Festival!

Help Make the Magic Happen at the 26th Annual Fairie Festival!

Join Spoutwood’s Fairie Family! The May Day Fairie Festival at Spoutwood Farm is seeking dedicated volunteers for the 2017 Festival season! Pre-Fest, during Fest, and post-Fest opportunities are all available. We particularly have need of fae friends who can help create and organize events and activities before the Festival, who can act as Fairie Ambassadors at promo events, who can help with on-site prep the week of the Festival, and who can help clean-up the Farm after the Festival.

All are also welcome (but not required!) to join us for our next general planning meeting to be announced.   Also check out our website’s calendar for future meeting dates.

Festival volunteers earn free admittance to the Festival, and more importantly, become part of an enthusiastic, caring, and diverse Fairie Family. Volunteering for Fairie Fest is a fun and meaningful way to earn service learning or community service hours. For more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact Spoutwood’s Volunteer Coordinator, Emily, at  To keep up to date with Festival goings-on, general volunteer meetings, and other festival news, send an email to Amy Fae at with a request to join the Fairie Festival Volunteers email list.
