CSA Harvest Guide : August 18

I had trouble lifting Big Green today. My numerous trips in and out of Good Stewards and Central Market have left my limbs tired. But I am ecstatic about the shares you're each receiving today. I have yelled 'Finally!' to myself more than once. This is what a bountiful harvest is. Fresh, in season, and spilling out over the edge of your bags.

When you get home this is what you should expect to find: A large selection of heirloom tomatoes, a bag of cherry tomatoes, eggplant, a bag of green beans (each weighing a half pound), swiss chard, cucumbers, squash, watermelon, and basil galore.

Please enjoy today's harvest but look forward to nest week for the debut of peppers!
