The Observatory has three primary research-grade telescopes.
They are:
1. A 20″ Dobsonian Reflector, outfitted with the SkyCommanderXP4 encoder software module
2. An 8″ Achromatic Refractor, custom-built by noted lens specialist Barry Greiner of Mt. Hope, PA, mounted on an Astrophysics German Equatorial Mount and housed in a state-of-the-art computerized Dome, operated entirely on solar power!
3. An 8″ Meade LX-90 SCT Reflector, with GPS tracking and GOTO.
Did you know we can come to you?! We have a mobile telescopeso we can bring our scopes to you and stare at solar flares and sunspots from the roof top of your building! Great for schools, businesses, and events!
